I fell down a textile rabbit hole.
I started in fashion design, thinking mostly about garments. Somewhere along the way, I became more interested in what the garment was made from, then how the textile was made, then how the yarn was made, and eventually where the fibre came from...

I started by wanting to make clothes.

Working in wearable technology showed me how much could happen inside the textile itself.

Knitting made me pay attention to yarn, not simply as a supply, but as something that shapes what a textile can become.

Then I wanted to understand how yarn itself was made.

Spinning took me back another step.

Wool became the material I kept returning to, not because I intend to work only with wool, but because the more I learn about it, the more questions I find.
