–Natural Dye Paper String

It’s fascinating to observe that different materials absorb colour differently from various sources. For instance, the paper string took on a significantly darker brown shade from the walnut dye compared to the roving, while the madder dye produced contrasting results (right photo).

ALL NATURAL FIBERS CAN BE NATURAL DYED

I crafted a petite basket using paper strings dyed with indigo and weld. Additionally, I adorned the basket with wired flowers and leaves made from the same paper strings but in different colours. To enhance the visual appeal, I filled the basket, using dyed roving as grass.
